Star of the North Glassworkers is a chapter of the International Society of Glass Beadmakers (ISGB) centered in Minneapolis - St. Paul, Minnesota.  Most of us make beads but the flameworking we do also encompasses small vessels, knobs, buttons, marbles, sculpture and more.
We hold activities every month or so for a chance to socialize, try new things and exchange ideas.  We've held demos and interactive workshops on all kinds of lampworking techniques plus glassblowing, coldworking, photography, metalworking, PMC and other jewelry-making skills.  We visit museum and gallery exhibits together, hold bead challenges, support Beads of Courage and publish a group postcard.  We also have a Facebook group where members can interact.  Beginners are welcome and we hold some public open-torch sessions and demonstrations.
Members:  time to pay 2012 dues.  Also fill out the membership info if you have any updates to your information for us.
Many of our members teach and/or have work for sale online or in the area.
Check out what we are up to on our news blog.
